Cedar are recruiting an IT Infrastructure Engineer for a global manufacturing business.
This is a permanent role reporting into the Head of IT.
The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of an organisation's IT systems to support business continuity and responsive decision-making.
Here's how the role breaks down: Key Responsibilities: 1.Network Management & High Availability: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot high-availability IT networks for business-critical operations.
Ensure seamless connectivity across plant locations, data centres, sales offices, warehouses, and remote staff.
2.Datacentre, Server, and Storage Administration: Manage and monitor datacentre operations, including server and storage infrastructure.
Optimise system performance and reliability using standard monitoring tools.
3.Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimise downtime.
*Implement solutions to enhance system performance and ensure data integrity and security.
4.End-User Support: *Provide IT support for approximately 600 staff across three businesses, including remote troubleshooting and assistance.
5.Monitoring & System Optimisation: Leverage monitoring tools to maintain operational visibility and system health.
Identify opportunities for improvement to support business flexibility and operational efficiency.
6.Data Integrity & Security: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive business and user data.
Support compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
