It Engineer / Drone Pilot

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Engineer / Drone Pilot to join our Head Office team. The purpose of the role is to support existing 1st line and 2nd line requirements, carry out troubleshooting tasks, and learn to fly.
You will be joining a fantastic team of other IT enthusiasts. You will from time to time attend our remote offices to do office setups. Drone technology is growing exciting technology in our industry that we use daily. We will train you as a Drone Pilot to carry out Drone surveys as part of the role.
Key Accountabilities:Install and configure hardware (desktops, laptops, servers, etc.)Install and configure software (operating systems, applications, etc.)Fly Drones and process Drone dataConfigure cybersecurity defences, endpoint anti-virus and network firewallsTroubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software problemsPerform data backups and recoveryMaintain and update computer systemsManage user accounts and permissionsIdentify and resolve network connectivity issuesSetup small independent remote officesApply Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for task automationWork with databases, move, rebuild, optimiseUse remote access tools for troubleshootingKeep up-to-date and implement emerging computing technologiesDocument procedures and solutions clearlySoft Skills:Active listening and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamService orientation (helping non-tech users with technical issues)Can time manage and prioritise tasksCritical thinking and analytical skills demonstrating IT resolution skillsStrong work ethic and commitment to deadlinesProfessionalism and courteous demeanourAttention to detail and accuracyInterests:Drone technologyBIM Construction solutionsPhotography / videoQualifications / Experience:The below qualifications are demonstrative of ability but are not essential for the role if your technology experience proves otherwise.
