As the newly created IT Director, you'll report directly to the CEO, leveraging your expertise to guide innovation and make strategic decisions for Valda's technical direction.
A key aspect of your role will be to oversee and enhance our cyber security measures, ensuring the protection of our company's data.
You will also be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to industry regulations, maintaining compliance, and safeguarding our competitive edge.
Your leadership will be pivotal in ensuring competitiveness, agility, and supporting the business growth plans.
The day to day will involve but not be limited to:
Responsibility for the development and implementation of the IT strategy ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives and growth plansLeading on IT initiatives and projects to implement transformational change, actively seeking opportunities for Valda to improve its processes, systems, outcomes, and capabilities to drive operational excellence and maximise efficienciesAcquiring and developing a high-performing IT team, instilling a culture of excellence, collaboration, and user satisfactionRole model the Valda Values and lead from the front by stay up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies, sharing knowledge and inspiring teamsTaking accountability for the team responsible for monitoring and reporting on IT service performance, availability, and satisfaction by defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metric to measure successLeading efforts to identify, investigate, and resolve IT service incidents and problems in a timely and efficient mannerTaking ownership of critical incidents, coordinating with resolution parties, and establishing effective communication between stakeholders for post-incident reviewsProviding guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to empower team members to reach their full potentialWorking closely with and in collaboration with the established business change and governance functionsThe Spark we're Looking For At least 2 years' experience in a senior leadership position working within ITPrior experience working within the B2B space (advantageous)Professional IT/Information Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT as well as Cloud related certifications (desirable)Knowledge of the latest technologies and practices, and of current best practice in IT architecture design, cybersecurity, and data protectionKnowledge and experience with Information Security and Risk Management standards and frameworksProven experience developing IT strategiesStrong experience in managing, developing and growing a teamIf you like the sound of this role, we encourage you to apply even if you aren't confident that you meet all of the requirements – you may be just who we're looking for.
