Description In response to client demand and evolving audit standards, Moore Kingston Smith is looking for an aspiring IT Auditor to join our client-facing IT Assurance team.
A significant portion of the team's work entails providing support and opinions regarding the IT environment supporting financial statement audits and regulatory frameworks, with support for other IT Assurance services such as SOC 1 and SOC 2, outsourced internal audit and other attestation services.

Key Responsibilities Assist and engage in a diverse range of IT Consulting and Assurance projects, including IT External Audit Support, IT Internal Audit, Regulatory Reviews, and operational resilience evaluations.
Assist Finance Auditors and Partners in determining client financial data flows and identifying key automated controls for testing to provide assurance regarding the overall audit.
Determine the IT audit scope and accordingly prepare appropriate test procedures for client engagement with limited assistance Analyse Technology risks associated with IT processes and assess the effectiveness of the internal control systems Assist with the completion of audit working papers that document the entity's IT environment, information processing systems and IT general and application controls Drafting articulate and comprehensive audit findings highlighting control weaknesses, associated risks and practical recommendations for the client management team's consideration.
Assist in developing the IT Assurance Methodologies and Functions across MKS.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Excellent communication skills with people at different levels of seniority and ability to build relationships with audit engagement teams Proven experience in delivering IT audits.
A good understanding of technology platforms.
Interest and understanding of IT risks and internal controls across a range of industries.
Competent reporting and presentation skills.
Experience in delivering work within tight timescales, to budget and to a high level of quality.
Experience of working as part of a team, as well as standalone.
Experience of testing IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT Application Controls (ITAC).
Experience in carrying out SOC1 and/ SOC2, ISO 27001 attestations will be beneficial.
Industry recognised qualification such as CISA or equivalent will be beneficial.
