Your Role As the IS Solution Architect, you will play a vital role in overseeing the development and enhancement of our solution offerings.
Your responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership: Crafting and managing functional roadmaps and service catalogues to guide our long-term vision for Government & Defence applications.
Collaboration & Innovation: Working closely with cross-functional teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create detailed, low-level solution designs that meet business needs.
Comprehensive Oversight: Ensuring continuous management and improvement of our application estate, driving efficiencies and innovation across the portfolio.
Driving Innovation: Supporting the growth and expansion of our business sector by fostering new, cutting-edge technological solutions and services.
Your Responsibilities This role offers a flexible working arrangement, ideally you would be located near to Milton Keynes, but this isn't essential as the role will provide you with the ability to work on a hybrid basis from your own home or any of our site locations.
Work with product SME's (WMS/TMS/OMS) to develop roadmaps and service definitions for Kuehne-Nagel UK strategic applications.
Work with local and corporate teams to ensure that RFP responses fit within Kuehne-Nagel's delivery capability and that commercials are accurate.
Maintain oversight of all UK development activity building commercial relationships with software providers Contribute to the smooth transition of all development changes from software providers through to deployment into business as usual support Ensure Application environments are built and rigorously tested in accordance with implementation timescales Translate high level business requirements into high-level requirements for SME's Work with other internal functions to drive a standardised approach to service provision and deployment thus reducing portfolio cost and complexity.
Your Skills and Experiences Demonstrable expert-level knowledge of software application design along with expertise in the building of propositional roadmaps Track record in service design and customer engagement A proven ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements for internal or external delivery A demonstrable understanding of the tools and techniques used to integrate disparate applications and services A keen attention to detail whilst maintaining a clear view of the bigger picture Understanding for the following technologies WMS Technology – Blue Yonder Dispatcher, TMS – Oracle Transport Management, In-Cab Technology – Microlise & OMS – SAP/Stirling Please be aware that by applying for this role, you are agreeing to participate in the employment screening process.
