On behalf of the MOD (SPCC), we are looking for4x Assistant Investigators - Outside IR35for a2 Year Ad-hoccontract basedRemote - with occasional site visits as required.

As an Assistant Investigator your main responsibilities will be: Collecting & gathering material, intelligence & evidence from a range of sources (including military & civilian stakeholders) and recording / retaining it in a format that is evidentially admissible to support the investigative process.
Identifying & planningowninvestigative actions, taking into account resources, priorities & proportionality to pursue all reasonable lines of enquiry to achieveobjectives.
Interviewing witnesses & suspects, applying appropriate interviewingprinciples& techniques to gather all required information, intelligence and evidence.
Using relevant powers granted under the Service Police Regulations 2023 to consider arresting, apprehending & issuing special warnings to suspects as necessary.
Taking part in criminal, misconduct & inquest proceedings where necessary.
Please note, this role requiresactive, valid SC Clearance as a minimum & youmustbe willing & eligible to undergo these checks.
You'll have: Demonstrable Investigation experience - interviews, evidence gathering,analysis& presentation.
Complexcasemanagementexperience.
Experience of maintaining & interrogating computerised systems, inc. casemanagementsystems.
Experience of working in difficult situations & sensitive environments.
Excellent stakeholder engagement &managementskills - inc. complainants & bereaved families.
PiP1 qualification - essential.
HMICFRS super-complaints procedures familiarity - desirable.
MoD experience - desirable.
Advanced Disclosure course completion - desirable.
