Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Interventional Radiology nursing team at Ipswich Hospital, part time 35 hours per week between Monday- Friday (4 working days 9am-6pm or 8am -5pm)The Interventional Radiology team are a small and friendly multidisciplinary team consisting of Nurses, Radiographers and Consultant Radiologists.
We provide a 24/7 on call service for emergency patients.We are looking to recruit a Band 5 nurse who has interest in developing the skills for this highly specialised area, including scrub, conscious sedation and participating in a cross site on call service once competencies are achieved.Informal visits are encouraged.
Main duties of the job To work as part of the nursing team, to provide a high standard of care.
To be actively engaged in the delivery of excellent patient care in the Radiology setting.To act as a team leader in the absence of a senior member of staff.
Assists the Radiology staff to develop and enhance clinical skills and practice.You will be working in a variety of clinical areas including the vascular theatre, with all members of the multidisciplinary team.
You will have good communication and organisational abilities alongside an excellent clinical standards.Applications are welcome from staff with prior relevant experience; however this is not essential as full training will be given on the job.
