KS1 Part-time Intervention Teaching Assistant We are seeking a passionate teaching assistant who has experience delivering a range of interventions.
Our schools have an inclusive approach so are looking for a teaching assistant who is capable working alongside the Class Teacher, to identify gaps in children's learning and plan interventions accordingly.
Location: Burnley, Lancashire.
Pay: £12.90 - £14 Hours: Full-time Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities: Build relationships with children to ensure they engage with the curriculum and their learning.
Have a calm and nurturing approach to ensure children have a positive learning experience. Have the confidence to plan and deliver engaging lessons, in collaboration with the Class Teacher and other relevant professionals, so that children can achieve their full potential.
Work alongside the KS1 Curriculum, so that you have an understanding of the age expectations.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners and those with additional needs.
Be willing to upskill yourself through continuous professional development.
Be committed to the safeguarding of all pupils, ensuring you adopt school's policies and participate in regular safeguarding training.
· Ensure the progress of children is recorded so that feedback can be provided to children, parents and the Class Teacher.
Requirements: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Have an understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Have effective behaviour management strategies.
Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
