Goldman Sachs Internal Audit comprises individuals from diverse backgrounds including chartered accountants, developers, risk management professionals, cybersecurity professionals, and data scientists.
We are organized into global teams comprising business and technology auditors to cover all the firm's businesses and functions.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES As the third line of defence, Internal Audit's mission is to independently assess the firm's internal control structure, including governance processes, controls, and risk management frameworks.
Internal Audit performs the following duties:
Communicates and reports on the effectiveness of the firm's governance, risk management, and controlsRaises awareness of control riskAssesses the firm's control culture and conduct risksMonitors management's implementation of control measuresADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Collaborate within the IA Asset Management team and the broader IA divisionDevelop and maintain an in-depth understanding of business areas, products, and supporting functionsPlan and execute audit testing to ensure high-quality documentationIdentify risks, assess mitigating controls, and recommend improvementsPrepare commercially effective audit conclusions and present to senior management and stakeholdersFollow-up on open audit issues and their resolutionParticipate in initiatives aimed at improving Internal Audit's processesSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Bachelor's degree with 1-5 years of experience in internal audit, or an independent validation function within financial services or Big 4 risk advisoryStrong risk and control mindsetStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and drive consensusExcellent team player, enthusiastic, motivated to learn, and detail-orientedHighly motivated with strong analytical skillsAwareness of relevant EMEA Asset Management Regulation, including sustainable financeABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital, and ideas to help our clients, shareholders, and the communities we serve.
