We are a growing multi-discipline practice with 10 offices across the South of England and North West. Due to our continued success, we are looking to appoint an Interior Designer for our Plymouth Office. The successful candidate will be required to act on behalf of both public and private sector clients across a complete range of projects.
Key Duties Generally working with the team and assisting senior staff both in the office and during site visits. Both verbal and written skills to translate a customer's brief and requirements in sketch ideas, spatial layouts with FF&E plans. Research for new products sourcing, trends, CPD's, or ideas in materials products and samples. Confident in creating visuals in mood board form, material boards, or 3D images or montages. Strong presentational skill set enabling your ideas to be communicated well to an individual or team in a collaborative fashion if required, forming creative design solutions. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other design programs. Formation of tender documentation and an understanding of the administration of tender processes. Consideration of costs and product awareness in a commercial environment. Undertaking or considering training with the aim of achieving chartered status. Follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices. Qualifications The successful candidate should be a qualified Interior Designer (degree level) or equivalent. Previous experience is not essential; however, it is greatly appreciated. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who has a passion for design. The candidate should have strong creative talent, good communication skills with an eye for design, including a good range of IT-based skills with a basic understanding of the commercial aspects of construction.
