Interim Procurement Specialist

**This is an initial 6-month contract opportunity, with a view to transition into a permanent role**Butler Ross are currently recruiting for a Procurement Specialist for a manufacturing/aerospace organisation near Gloucester/Cheltenham.
The position affords some remote working; up to 2 days a week from home, and is offering an hourly rate of £30-40/hr (Umbrella Company Rate) depending on relevant experience.Your key responsibilities / objectives will be:Managing a portfolio of Suppliers to ensure requirements are metSupporting the Supplier Performance Quality Leader (SPQL) in the effective implementation of Supplier Performance strategy and initiativesConducting analysis on under-performing suppliers and implementing specific action plansLiaising with internal and external stakeholders - to manage both supplier relationships as well as risks and potential issuesIdeal Experience / SkillsetPrior experience in the Aerospace sector or any technical manufacturing/engineering environmentStrong Decision making & problem-solving skillsStrong Negotiation skills Working understanding of ERP systems (and general IT literacy)A background in dealing with Raw Materials from suppliers, would be advantageousIf you would like to be considered for this opportunity, or if you would be interested in understanding more about the position - please do not hesitate to apply or request a discussion.This position would be well suited to individuals who have previously held previous positions as any of the following: Procurement Specialist / Project Buyer / Senior Buyer / Buyer / Procurement Lead / Procurement Leader / Category Buyer / Category Manager / Purchasing Manager / Procurement Manager / Supply Chain Buyer / Supply Chain Specialist / Engineering Buyer / Raw Material Buyer / Raw Materials Buyer / Sourcing Specialist / Purchasing Specialist
