Interim FP&A Manager London - 12 month (12 month) £100 000 per annum Our client, a listed media business with a global footprint, are seeking a qualified FP&A Controller on a 12-month contract basis to take ownership of the full P&L for one of their largest business units.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, a skilled communicator who can influence at all levels, and a hands-on manager comfortable rolling up their sleeves.
Responsibilities: Oversee the full P&L for the marketing business, providing in-depth analysis and insights Develop and maintain robust financial models and forecasts Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations Collaborate closely with marketing leadership to support strategic decision-making5 Present financial insights to both finance and non-finance stakeholders Provide financial guidance on new initiatives and investment opportunities Support the development of business cases for key projects Produce regular financial reports and KPI dashboards for senior management Analyse marketing spend effectiveness and return on investment5 Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the marketing business Develop ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions Streamline and enhance financial processes and systems Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis Mentor and develop junior team members Required Skills: Advanced financial modelling and forecasting Deep understanding of P&L management and analysis Proficiency in data visualisation and storytelling with financial information Strong business acumen and ability to translate financial insights into strategic recommendations Experience with budgeting and performance management processes Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA) Minimum 5 years of experience in FP&A, with at least 2 years in a managerial role Expert in Excel/ Google Sheets Comfortable working in a manual environment with limited automation Experience in the media industry highly advantageous Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and presentation abilities Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
