Are you a dynamic HR leader ready to drive transformative change? We're seeking an exceptional Interim Director of People to lead our organisation's transition to a future-facing state. This role offers a unique blend of strategic leadership and hands-on management in a purpose-driven environment.
As our Interim Director of People, you'll be at the forefront of our transformation journey. You'll lead structural and cultural changes, whilst simultaneously managing the day-to-day operations of our busy People team. Your strategic insights will be crucial in Executive team discussions, shaping key decisions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities: Drive organisational design and culture change initiatives Lead the People team in delivering proactive, responsive HR services Provide commercially appropriate HR advice, respecting our unique organisational culture Oversee talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies Champion inclusion and diversity across the organisation Enhance organisational capability and effectiveness Manage change and transformation processes Handle employee relations with expertise and sensitivity Requirements: Proven director-level experience in delivering significant business transformation CIPD membership or equivalent qualifications and experience Track record of strategic HR leadership in complex environments Strong commercial acumen and ability to work effectively with senior executives In-depth knowledge of employment legislation and employee relations Innovative thinker with a collaborative, solution-focused approach Experience in pension, payroll, and benefits administration Proficiency in HRIS and other HR technologies Understanding of learning and development best practices Expertise in process improvement and operational HR delivery The Directorate: The People Team sits within the Operations Directorate, alongside our Finance, Facilities and other Teams, and supports the organisation in delivering on its long-term objectives. Although we are part of the Operations directorate, we work closely across all directorates to help support with all employees.
The Team: You'll become a valued member of our small, close-knit team made up of a Business Partner, People Advisor and People Assistant, working collaboratively to drive both the People Team and broader business strategies. We work closely with managers, providing coaching and general support to equip them with the necessary tools for effective employee management. This helps ensure that our employees enjoy a positive and fulfilling work experience.
How we are currently working: RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office. However, this may be more depending on the team or business needs.
