Job summary 1 x Full-time Permanent Post1 x Full-time Fixed Term PostThere is an opportunity for an existing registered Pharmacy Technician to become part of a progressive clinical pharmacy team, providingthe professional, technical and logistical components of an Integrated MedicineManagement Service at South Tyneside and Sunderland Foundation Trust.We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to jointhe IMM team.
Working outside the dispensary with dedicated pharmacists at wardlevel you will provide a patient-focused service which includes the assessmentof patients own drugs, determining and maintaining supplies of medicines to bestored at the patients bedside to ensure a safe and timely discharge servicefrom the hospital.
The role will also involve counselling of patients on theirmedicines to deliver medicines optimisation and completing medicinesreconciliation.Please note the Trust are not able to offer Skilled Worker Sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the UKVI threshold requirements.

Please visit for further information Main duties of the job You will be a GPhC registered Pharmacy Technician withexperience working in a hospital or primary care setting.
You must possess NVQ Pharmacy level 3 with Btec or have equivalent underpinning knowledge.
The successful candidates will be appointed to a band 4 post untilthey have met the full criteria to progress to the band 5 IMM PharmacyTechnician role.
This will include a minimum of 2 cycles of CPD revalidation as aregistered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Society.Completed accredited accuracy checking and the followingMedicines Management Frameworks Module 1- Assessment of patients own drugsModule 2- Ordering medication for one-stop dispensing Module 3 - Medicines Reconciliation.This Post has a requirement for seven-day working includingweekends, late nights, bank holidays and cross site cover.You must be adaptable, have good communication skills andpossess the ability to work on your own initiative to deliver patient carewithin the wider multi-disciplinary team.
