You'll also provide essential support to those facing highly complex challenges, such as cerebral palsy and other sensory or physical impairments.

SEN Teaching Assistant Additional Information:
Hours: Monday - Friday (08:30 - 16:00)
Salary: £13-£15 Per Hour (Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay)
Contract: Temp to Perm, Full-time (40 hrs per week, term time only)
Location: Royston, Hertfordshire
Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant: Student Support: Build warm, caring relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported, fostering an environment where they can enjoy and learn.
Promote Independence: Encourage personal development and independence in students, maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
Educational Activities: Assist in providing high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities that help students reach their full potential.
Classroom Assistance : The SEN Teaching Assistant will support the Class Teacher with daily classroom activities and ensure smooth operation.
Adaptability: Respond to the changing needs of the school and adapt to various tasks as required.
Holistic Development: Promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being of students.
SEN Teaching Assistant Skills and Qualifications: Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.
Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is desirable.
Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Compliance: Must have a Full-Time Right to Work status.
