The role: Proteintech is experiencing rapid growth in Europe and is now recruiting for an office-based Inside Sales Account Manager in Manchester, UK.
The role will be based primarily in the office but with occasional travel to exhibitions and customer visits across Europe, working in conjunction with the wider sales team.
You will report directly to the Commercial Director as part of an excellent team; you will have real responsibility and gain exposure to multiple facets of the business.
Responsibilities: • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers with a view to growing long-term and effective business relationships.
• Pro-actively search and connect with new prospects with cold calls, emails and lead follow ups.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective solutions to customer needs, with technical support provided from in house team.
• Represent Proteintech at symposiums and exhibitions to further build brand awareness.
• Visit key customers in your region.
• Follow up leads, free samples, website request and quotes.
• Maintain and improve contact data on the Salesforce CRM.
• Provide feedback to Marketing and Product development on customer and competitor activities.
• Responsible for meeting and reporting on sales targets (revenue & KPI).
Essential requirements: • Experience in life science/biotech sales would be an advantage.
• Must be educated to Degree or Masters level in a life science discipline.
• Independent, driven and able to work on own initiative.
• High level of professional communication skills and the confidence to interact with scientists at all levels.
• Prepared to travel up to 25% of time (predominantly within territory).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Full driving licence.
• Fluent in English • German, French or Spanish language skills would be an advantage.
