Job summary The Surgery & Critical Care division is on the lookout for a skilled administrator to undertake the Inpatient Admissions Clerk role on a six month secondment.You will be part of the Complex Booking team, ensuring that a high-quality service is provided for patients booked for elective procedures, and they leave having had a positive experience.
You will work closely with and be supported by the multi-disciplinary team, which includes surgeons, nurses, senior managers and other admin staff.
Main duties of the job You will primarily support the Admission Officers in the booking of patients for theatre procedures from the waiting list, from a number of specialties across the division, in accordance with Government Access standards and the Trust's Patient Access Policy, ensuring efficient and effective use of Main theatre/ADSU sessions.
