Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit an experienced Injection Moulding Technician to join our client based in Sedgefield, County Durham.
Main Purpose: The IML Technician is responsible for running and setting Injection Moulding machines with IML Automation.
They will run efficiently and within quality guidelines producing product to the correct customer requirements and BRC quality standards.
In time, as lead technician, you are responsible for reviewing and ensuring all other IML technicians are skilled and trained to required standard to carry out all duties across all shifts to the same standard set.
Ultimately the person in this role will gain knowledge and experience over the first 18 to 24 months working closely with the process engineer when on dayshift, with a view to move into the process engineer role as part of succession planning within the Decoration department.
The successful candidate should have the: * Injection moulding experience is essential.
* Good verbal communication and listening skills, all communication both written and verbal must be in English.
* Ability to use own initiative to work as an individual or as part of a team unsupervised.
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
* Ability to operate computer equipment for data purposes.
* Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment.
* A methodical approach to systems and understanding of the importance of standards and established/agreed systems of work.
* Able to make decisions based on experience, have confidence to act and make changes within given boundaries.
* Good personal organisation under pressure when dealing with both internal and external customers.
* Time management skills.
* Ability to develop and lead a team, in addition to ensuring standard working practices are reviewed and updated to ensure standardisation across all shifts.

Hours of work: Alternating 7am – 19.00pm and 19.00pm – 7am on a 3 on 3 off 12 hour shift pattern
