About the role As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust infrastructure solutions, enabling the business to meet its strategic goals.
You will integrate modern technologies, prioritise security, and ensure operational excellence through adherence to ITILv4 and industry best practices.
What you'll be doing: Infrastructure Design and Secure Solutioning: • Design and deliver scalable, secure infrastructure solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premises systems.
Networking: • Configure and secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches.
• Design hybrid network solutions for seamless on-premises and cloud integration.
Cloud Management: • Deploy and manage Azure and AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Azure App Services.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Operational Support and ITILv4: • Provide third-line support for infrastructure services, resolving complex technical issues.
• Implement ITILv4 processes for efficient management of changes, incidents, and problems.
Security and Compliance: • Implement IAM, MFA, encryption, and proactive monitoring to secure systems and data.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO27001, and other regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Leadership: • Engage with stakeholders to align infrastructure solutions with business goals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment.
You will have the following experience: Proven expertise in designing and delivering secure, scalable solutions across Azure, AWS, and networking environments.
Hands-on experience in implementing Secure by Design principles.
Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments and ITILv4 practices.
