Infrastructure Engineer

I have an immediate need for an Infrastructure Engineer for my client based near Chester.
The business operates in a constant changing landscape where the infrastructure team are at the forefront of design & deployment of new systems, this role requires an engineer that can adapt quickly, learn new systems to a level that can then be used to deploy solutions.
This role will report to the IT Infrastructure Manager, and you will be responsible for supporting the company's IT infrastructure.
You will provide technical support for business applications and telecoms components.
You will participate in new projects as a team member and as project lead in some cases.
Main tasks and responsibilities: 3rd line Desk side support of all hardware and software Manage escalated support requests, take ownership, track, prioritise, and progress support calls to a successful resolution.
Support Helpdesk Ensure computers are updated and security patches applied.
Review & support Backup systems Ensure Anti-Virus software is up to date and fully functional on all company PC's and laptops.
IT infrastructure moves, tidying of cabling in the server room and office floor.
Raise requests to external service providers and follow up to ensure timely delivery.
VMware Support SAN Support Network hardware/software Cyber Security Monitoring Office 365 support MS Defender Azure Documentation Knowledge / Qualifications Essential VMware knowledge (Ideally qualified) Netapp knowledge Active Directory (advanced) Desirable Azure Office 365 + Defender Experience in DevOps IT qualifications ITIL Management The role is paying circa £40-50k and requires you to be onsite 1 day every week or at best two times per month.
