Infotainment Test Engineer

We are seeking a Test Engineer with experience within infotainment, to support the validation of infotainment electrical systems, navigation and audio systems on behalf of our globally successful Automotive OEM, based in Bedfordshire, on a contract basis.

Test Engineer responsibilities include:
• Develop testing methods & procedures for validation of Infotainment systems
• Ensure vehicle level quality, function and reliability standards are maintained with changes of Infotainment HW & SW
• Creation of test reports
• Root cause investigation
• Technical support to the production plant
• Management of suppliers
Background and skills required for the Test Engineer position:
• Ideally Degree level qualified
• Knowledge of software programming and software quality assurance
• Experience of software application into vehicle ECUs in the manufacturing environment
• Ability to risk assess software modifications and develop appropriate test plans
• Understand network communications ie CAN, LIN
• Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections
Flexibility to travel, and a valid driving license are required for this role.
