IT Technician - Join the Sharp Europe Team in Wrexham!
Role: IT Technician Location: Llay, Wrexham, UK Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 13:00 Company Overview Sharp, Europe, based in Llay, Wrexham, is the only UK-based Sharp manufacturing facility, and we've been at the forefront of quality product and solutions development for decades.

Due to department expansion, we're excited to invite a full-time IT Technician to join our team at our Wrexham manufacturing site.
About the Role As an IT Technician, you'll be integral to ensuring our technology and systems run smoothly.
You'll provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and assist end users, keeping systems at peak performance and supporting our people as they work.

Key Responsibilities Technical Support: Provide support for IT hardware, software, and applications; troubleshoot complex issues; perform advanced diagnostics and repair.
Collaboration: Work with systems administrators to maintain IT infrastructure; provide 1st-3rd line support for staff.
Training and User Assistance: Assist staff in efficient use of technology; provide deskside training on enterprise applications as needed.
Inventory and Requisition: Manage hardware/software assets; request new hardware/software as directed.
System Security and Compliance: Maintain security protocols for all systems; assist with on-premises and virtual servers.
Network and Connectivity: Support LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN connectivity; assist with physical infrastructure setup (cabling, firewalls, routers, switches).
Qualifications and Skills Education and Certifications: Relevant IT certifications or degree.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a 1st or 2nd line support role.
Technical Expertise: Windows 10/11 configuration and troubleshooting Microsoft Office 365 suite, including OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory) Familiarity with LAN/WAN, VOIP, backup technologies (tape, disk, cloud) Experience with Windows Servers and virtualization is a plus.
Personal Attributes: Analytical skills, self-starter, strong communication and client service orientation, able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
