Job Title: IT Systems Engineer
Location: Salford (Hybrid: 4 days on-site, moving to 3 days on-site later)
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + great benefits

Job Description: My client is seeking a skilled IT Systems Engineer to manage and maintain IT infrastructure, provide technical support, and ensure seamless operations across four business groups.
The ideal candidate will have strong server administration experience, background in technical support to at least a 2nd Line level, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities: • Server Administration: Maintain and optimize Microsoft servers, apply updates, and ensure system reliability.

• Technical Support: Provide 1st & 2nd line support, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

• Backup Solutions: Implement and manage backups using VEEAM, ensuring data integrity and compliance.

Requirements: • Minimum 2 years of IT systems engineering experience.

• Base level proficiency in SQL
• Experience in VEEAM backup management.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to drive for occasional client site visits.

Advantageous: • Advanced SQL Management: Build and troubleshoot SQL queries, create reports, and manage database performance and security.

• Experience with Lexis Nexis VisualFiles
• Experience working on complex 3rd Line issues
