Information Technology Engineer

IT Engineer – Bilingual (English/Mandarin)| Full-Time | Onsite Location : Solihull Hours : 37 hours per week Are you a proactive IT professional with a passion for technology and a flair for problem-solving?
Our client is seeking a dynamic IT Engineer to join their team on a contract .
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting a diverse range of IT infrastructure and systems.
Key Responsibilities : Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to provide seamless IT support and serve as backup.
Manage user support requests, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of all IT issues.
Maintain and monitor IT servers, networks, software, and office systems, including data storage and backup solutions.
Support R&D engineers with the implementation and management of R&D software.
Install, support, and maintain all network-connected devices and manage technologies like Hyper-V server virtualisation and SCCM.
Ensure the security of all IT systems and equipment.
Coordinate with the headquarters IT department on project implementations as needed.
Manage IT assets and contribute to policy improvements.
Undertake additional IT-related tasks assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills : Essential: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Bilingual in English and Mandarin .
Strong knowledge of IT core infrastructure, Windows Servers, Exchange, SCCM, LAN, WAN, and internet technologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related IT field.
Desirable: Certifications such as CCNA, VCP, MCSE, or MCSA .
Personal Competencies : Ability to prioritise tasks and meet changing deadlines.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience in collaborating with various departments to develop technical solutions.
