Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as the Information Security and Cyber Lead.
The initial focus will be on delivering cyber support, achieving compliance certifications, and strengthening the security posture for both our organisation and our clients.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in cybersecurity who is eager to grow into a strategic leadership position, potentially working towards a Chief Information Officer (CIO) role.
Key Responsibilities Lead the implementation and ongoing management of ISO 27001, including internal compliance and client-facing delivery.
Provide technical support for Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification processes.
Oversee and enhance the cybersecurity posture of the organisation and its clients.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.
Conduct regular risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies.
Assist in client consultations on cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.
Monitor emerging security threats and ensure appropriate measures are implemented.
Support training and awareness initiatives to promote a strong security culture internally and externally.
Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Foundational experience in cyber support and security operations.
Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus, and ISO 27001 standards.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and grow into a strategic leadership role.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, or CISSP (preferred but not required).
