LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a prestigious central London University, for an Information Compliance Officer.The University is seeking to appoint on a temporary ongoing basis initially, with potential to transition into a permanent role in the future.Your work will include responding to statutory requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000) and the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act (2018).
You will also provide advice to other staff members on information compliance issues and queries.
You will work in the University's Information Compliance team, alongside the wider in-house Legal Services team.To apply you will be:Educated to degree level – ideally in law or data protection/CIPPExperienced in responding to information access requestsAble to commute to the office in central London on a hybrid basis of at least 1 day per weekAvailable on no more than a 2-week notice periodThe salary for this role is £38,200 - £43,000 per annum, which will be paid on an equivalent hourly rate initially.
There could be room for negotiation on the salary for a suitably experienced candidate.
