We are looking for a Qualified Nurse, who has the ability to work alone and within a team environment. Evidence of infection control knowledge and effective communication skills is essential. We are looking for extensive post nurse qualification experience and evidence of leadership development.
Main duties of the job You will need to inspire and motivate others, and act as a role model and a professional source of infection control advice for staff, patients, relatives and members of the public when required. Under the direction of the Lead Nurse you will support the IPC service by collaborating and engaging with colleagues to deliver a high-quality service that improves patient outcomes/experiences.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Extensive post qualifying experience Ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs Evidence of infection control knowledge Evidence of a service improvement Effective communicator able to communicate highly complex and sensitive information Evidence of persuasive and strong influencing skills and the ability to manage conflict Evidence of relevant involvement in meeting the clinical governance objectives Desirable Leadership Qualification Degree Full UK driving license with willingness to use own car for work purposes Skills/Knowledge and Experience Essential Can demonstrate assertiveness, tact and diplomacy appropriately Evidence in involvement in policy change Demonstrates knowledge underpinned by theory acquired through CPD Demonstrates effective communication / negotiation skills Evidence of leadership development Evidence of working with key stakeholders Has the ability to manage conflicting views and reconciles inter and intra-professional differences of opinion Detailed knowledge of the NHS agenda, with explicit understanding of current issues in nursing/ midwifery Evidence of experience using a range of Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) Full registration standing with NMC Essential Full Registration with NMC Employer details Employer name Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust
