Job summary The post holder will provide strategic leadership and implement and maintain the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative within University Hospital Dorset NHS Foundation Trust (UHD) in line with the relevant objectives within the LMNS and following the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative standards.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital Interview Date: TBC Main duties of the job The post holder will be the lead professional responsible for supporting babies, their mothers, and families in relation to breastfeeding, healthy eating and healthy weight management.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the achievement and maintenance of UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative and in doing so ensure that processes are developed to improve both breastfeeding initiation and duration rates in the local population and enable UHD to achieve national, regional, and local breastfeeding targets for its population.
