Industrial Sewing Machinist

John Smedley Ltd is recruiting for an Industrial Sewing Machinist to operate our linking machines to join the panels of our knitted garments together to make high quality knitwear.
Our ideal candidate will be an experienced linker however we are willing to consider applicants with an interest in using industrial sewing machines to assemble fine knitted textile garments.
We are able to offer training for candidates who are not experienced textile machinists but have an an interest in textiles and this opportunity would ideally suit someone with experience of domestic sewing machines.
All candidates must have excellent hand eye co-ordination, have excellent fine motor skills and able to work to fine details.
All candidates must be able to travel to our site which is remotely located and has very limited public transport.
All candidates must be able to travel our site on a for their work shifts.
Our factory is located at Lea Mills, Lea Bridge, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 5AG.
