The Met Office is delighted to open our advertising for a number of Industrial Placements, which will commence from July 2025 until July 2026.
We're looking for two Digital Content and User Experience Industrial Placements to help us make a difference to our planet.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Met Office on a 12-month Year in Industry placement, developing your skills and knowledge and ensuring you gain the most value possible from your experience with us.
You will have the opportunity to network with our cohort of Industrial Placements all over the Met Office and understand what career opportunities we can offer you after you graduate.
As our Digital Content and User Experience Industrial Placement, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home.
This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.
Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week.

As our Digital Content and User Experience Industrial Placements, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our industry-leading digital teams.
You will work closely with our skilled designers, developers, and digital experts to contribute to projects that help shape the way users interact with our digital platforms and engage with our content.
You will be part of a collaborative team that values creativity, innovation, and fresh perspectives.
Your key duties Manage and deliver keyword research as well as supporting ad-hoc content and SEO projects.
Act as product specialist for the website CMS.
Support the development of a website content strategy and governance design.
Support the SEO and Digital Content Manager to design and deliver CMS and accessibility training, promoting best practice across the organisation.
Support Digital Product Managers in delivering value to the users of the Met Office App and Website.
Support the User Experience Manager gaining insights from our users to feed development.
