Indirect Group Procurement Manager

Basic Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + pension + Bonus Hybrid working: 1/2 days on site p/w Location: Nottingham We are pleased to be partnered with a leading freight forwarding business based in Nottingham in their search for a newly created Group Procurement Manager.
As Group Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of professional procurement individuals, maximizing efficiency and contributing to the business's results.
Monitoring team performance via a robust set of relevant KPIs, ensuring a clear sense of ownership and delivery according to clearly agreed plans in a timely manner.
KPIs include cost-saving targets against allocated categories of supply, on-time delivery of parts to an agreed plan without compromising quality, and contract coverage.
Establish clear category plans for each allocated category in line with the strategic team's plan.
Implement a structured dialogue with suppliers to ensure a strong business relationship is achieved and on-time deliveries are made, driving innovation throughout the supply chain by introducing new products and systems that eliminate waste.
All while acting as the primary point of contact between suppliers and our business.
Responsible for the procurement of goods and services for use in the business by identifying potential supplier sources, screening them, and negotiating favourable payment terms.
Lead the team to achieve agreed KPIs.
Manage stakeholders across the business, coordinating projects and working cross-functionally to meet agreed timelines.
Collaborate with internal customers to ensure necessary inputs for the Procurement function.
Maintain strong Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), including contract and performance reviews.
Work with colleagues within the business group to bundle spends and improve efficiency for maximum supplier leverage.
Support and cover for the Head of Procurement, promoting the added value of Procurement throughout the business.
Ensure safe working practices both internally and at supplier premises.
Identify and implement best practices for business improvements.
Adhere to and promote the Procurement policy within the business.
Manage both offensive and defensive claims.
Experience: 3-5 years experience within Indirect Procurement Experienced in project management / stakeholder management / customer focused Understanding of maintenance/production processes (desirable but not essential).
Understanding of basic engineering (desirable but not essential)
