Indirect Category Buyer

Category Buyer (Hybrid 1-2 days a week in office) 1-year contract | £300 a day Inside IR35
My client is looking for an Indirect Category Buyer to work within the Indirect Business Services division.
This role involves collaborating with a team of seven buyers, developing strategies, and managing relationships with international suppliers in professional services.

A key focus for this role will be Indirect Professional Services, with a particular emphasis on the finance, tax, and audit categories.
They are not looking for a transactional approach but require someone with strong category management experience, capable of developing strategic plans, executing sourcing activities, and managing post-sourcing processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a Purchasing Manager or Category Buyer, particularly within Indirect Procurement Services.
Strong negotiation skills are essential, particularly around commercial issues such as terms & conditions, and the role will involve handling contracts, managing disputes, and fostering supplier relationships.

Additionally, this role will require working closely with key stakeholders to define strategies, sourcing plans, and ongoing supplier relationship management to ensure alignment with the business's long-term objectives.

This is a 1-year contract paying £300 per day Inside IR35.
