We're recruiting?for a Income Recovery Officer?to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Based out of our Basingstoke or Portsmouth office, this is a full time role working 37 hours a week, with a minimum of 20% of this to be office based to promote collaboration and team working.

As Income Recovery Officer, you will be responsible for providing efficient, customer-focused management for our commercial portfolio, including Shared Ownership, Leasehold, and Freehold properties whilst providing a proactive and effective income collection, recovering outstanding rent and service charges arrears. You will be required to understand and interpret leases, provide advice and assistance to leaseholders and stakeholders as well as facilitating the processes for resale, staircasing, lease extensions, alterations, assignments and section 20 consultations. You'll work to agreed procedures to have full control over a caseload of accounts and progress them through the rent arrears process.
This'll include recording contacts,?agreements?and referrals, and ensuring that customers are provided with the right support that they need.
You'll gain a good understanding of who our customers are and the support that they may need to sustain their tenancies, so that eviction is always the last resort.
You'll develop a good knowledge of benefits and understand how they're paid and managed.
And make sure the business and customer impacts are understood as part of the arrears process.
You'll gain a good working relationship with various teams such as Service Charge and Leaseholder, and other customer, tenancy & resale supportive teams.
As well as developing connections with external partners and agencies who help us to provide the right level of support to our customers.
This includes housing options and homelessness teams to meet the needs of our customers.
You'll bring your wealth of experience in debt recovery and awareness/understanding of the social housing sector.
Also,?your effective communication and relationship building skills which will help you to succeed in this role.
This role is subject to a DBS check. First stage interviews will take place via Teams on Monday 3rd Feb.Second stage interviews will take place F2F Thursday 6th Feb.
