Our partner secondary school in Oldham is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inclusion Room Manager to join their team.
This pivotal role focuses on managing the school's Inclusion Room, providing essential support to students with behavioural, social, emotional, and academic needs.
Job Details: Position: Inclusion Room Manager Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester Start Date: November 2024 or January 2025 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Key Responsibilities: Management of Inclusion Room: Oversee daily operations of the Inclusion Room, creating a safe, supportive, and structured environment for students requiring additional assistance.
Student Support: Work closely with students to identify and address barriers to learning, implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and academic success.
Individual and Group Interventions: Plan and deliver targeted interventions to support students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs, both individually and in small groups.
Collaboration: Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and pastoral teams to develop and implement personalised support plans, ensuring a cohesive approach to student welfare.
Monitoring and Reporting: Track and report on student progress, behaviour, and attendance in the Inclusion Room, providing regular updates to senior staff and parents.
Professional Development: Stay informed of best practices in inclusive education by attending relevant training and development sessions.
Requirements: Experience: Prior experience in a similar role within a school setting is essential.
Experience supporting students with additional needs, particularly behavioural challenges, is highly desirable.
Education: Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, counselling, or a related field.
Additional training in behaviour management and special educational needs is advantageous.
Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenging situations.
DBS Check: All applicants must have a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to apply for one.
