IMPORT SHIPPING CO-ORDINATOR - ONLINE FASHION BRAND   CENTRAL MANCHESTER  UP TO £30K  Our client one of the fastest growing online fashion brands in the UK are looking to recruit an experienced  Import Shipping Assistant  to support their import operations based in central Manchester.
The ideal candidate will assist in managing the logistics of  incoming shipments,  ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and maintaining accurate records and have strong Excel skills.
The role: ·      to support the merchandising team in daily import shipping activities ·      working closely with the team in planning consolidated shipments to achieve cost efficient and timely deliveries.
·      Participate in the management of all  shipments   Responsibilities: ·      To organise the shipment of all import orders; liaising with freight forwarders, suppliers and  internal teams.
·      Obtaining and negotiating quotes from  freight agents for road, sea, air and rail shipments.
(FCL/LCL) ·        Checking packing lists from suppliers and ensuring the handover of goods ·        Manage, monitor and update ETA's for incoming shipments.
Preparing all relevant documentation and informing relevant internal teams.
·       Ensure compliance with import regulations and customs requirements.
·      Ensure accurate shipping filing/ archiving system is maintained.
Compiling and maintaining consignment files/packing lists/ commercial invoices, recording shipping costs and duties paid in the systems.
Requirements: ·      Previous experience in  shipping, logistics, or import/export  operations is a must ideally for the fashion industry       preferably 2 + years will be considered as an asset ·       Knowledge of customs regulations and import procedures.
·      Very good knowledge of  MS Office (especially Excel) ·      Highly organised in approach and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously ·      Attention to detail / data entry skills / reporting skills ·      Good communication and problem-solving skills; ability to use initiative ·      Ability to work towards deadlines ·      Team player ·      Willingness to learn ·      Good interpersonal skills
