Role : Identity/Authentication engineer Location : Fully remote & Trialling a 4 day week Salary: Up to £51,861 + Benefits The position: Implement changes based on Requests for Change (RFC) adhering to the change management policy and process.
Conduct tests to verify the effectiveness of changes, the user experience is not adversely impacted, and rollback plans are in place that are capable of restoring services to their previous state Build, configure, administer, and manage the authentication services, including commercial-off- the-shelf software (COTS) and open-source packages and solutions to ensure they meet business needs and performance targets.
Apply technical and specialist knowledge and skills through collaboration and creativity to support the successful delivery of programmes, projects, and other sanctioned initiatives.
Identify and register incidents, gathering the required information and allocating it to the appropriate channel for resolution.
Troubleshoot problems able to identify the issue and root cause across different technologies with an understanding of the level of a problem.
Define and track measurable goals and their outcome throughout the lifecycle using goal-setting frameworks, such as Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Develop process efficiency and optimise processes to continually improve the business-as- usual service and support wider process improvement activities.
What will an Authentication Services Engineer need to be successful?
Strong Indentity and Entra ID experience Priviliged Access Management Systems You will have broad knowledge across a wide range of technologies coupled with a strong grasp of service design, transition, operation & improvement.
You will be able to manage the entire lifecycle from initial request to development through to the delivery of high-quality technology services.
You will have excellent communication and collaboration skills across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A good understanding of commercial service and software licensing agreements, such as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
Strong analytical skills, collating, interpreting, and presenting quantitative and qualitative data about potential areas of service improvement.
Solid experience onboarding and maintaining critical a diverse portfolio of business-facing services and applications within a large organisation.
