During April 2021 - March 2022: 4,062 young people received advice and support 1,808 young people were supported by us during the year (some 859 at any one time) 1,139 young people lived in our 40+ accommodation schemes 601 young people stayed with us every night 84% of young people moved on from St Basils in a planned, positive way CLOSING DATE: Wednesday 4th December 2024 Job Title : ICT Applications Specialist - QL & Other Systems Reports to: Head of ICT Salary: Scale PO3, Points 38-41, £37,480 - £40,778 per annum, pro rata Hours of work: Full Time (37.5 hours per week) Specific Accountabilities: To continually assess the use of QL by the St Basils staff Support the business in achieving: business process efficiency, value for money, its vision and business objectives Provide business & systems consultancy in relation to the implementation of any available QL upgrades Implementation of new systems and system enhancements/changes and documentation.
Analyse business requirement through process mapping and implement system solutions Engage with business stakeholders across the business to understand their system requirements, expectations and identify gaps or opportunities while documenting the process.
To liaise and consult with other departments on queries and problems regarding QL and related issues To support staff on a day to day basis with technical / user issues To have an understanding of SQL / SSRS and be able to produce reports to analyse data integrity To develop the testing programme, producing functional specifications and robust test plans for carrying out the testing of QL releases To prepare and deliver mini QL update / training sessions to St Basils staff To deliver one to one training to St Basils staff on an adhoc basis To communicate with Aareon support regarding issues from St Basils Help the staff at St Basils to understand QL.
To undertake any new initiatives at a level appropriate to the responsibility of the post, as designated by the Head of ICT.
To be flexible in supporting the business with other Software in use (or due to be in use) at St Basils.
To conform to St Basils' policies, standards and guidelines with respect to information systems.
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: Educated to degree level or equivalent Desirable: Degree in computing IT qualifications (NVQ, ECDL, etc) MCP or MCSE ROLE EXPERIENCE: Essential: Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written Strong customer service ethos CRM support and administration Knowledge of Aareon's QL Knowledge of SQL Experience of application support, particularly back end of QL KNOWLEDGE Essential QL (Aareon) Good general computer knowledge Microsoft (SQL) Desirable: SSRS
