Have you heard of the expression "Zone of Genius"?
It's one of those phrases that certainly divides opinions, but in essence, it refers to when a person operates at a level that perfectly aligns their skills, interests, and talent.
The work feels close to effortless (FYI, it was a phrase coined by Gay Hendricks in his book "The Big Leap").
Why do I tell you this?
Because this Principal is exactly that; they work in an area where they are literally at the top of the top.
Due to a restructure in their own business, they now get to spend ALL their time in what Gay would call their "Zone of Genius," and for an Assistant, this is VERY interesting.
Supporting a high-performing expert aligned with their purpose, vision, and goals is an exciting place to work.
Their business is now regarded (in their niche) as pretty much the epitome of excellence.
Their business is admired, respected and adored by customers and being the 'right-hand person' to them is going to be a fun, challenging and demanding role.
Down to the nitty gritty… The role is to support the Principal across their entire life—business and private.
The predicted breakdown is 60-70% business and 40-30% private, but these will interwind and overlap.
Whilst your Principal embarks on extensive global travel and has a huge amount of mobility you'll be a central point of contact and connector with the wider London team, being on the ground to maximise communication so you'll be an outwardly positive person who embraces building internal relationships.
Working within the wider Fashion industry, the Principal has requested someone who knows the schedules, events, and fashion shows and understands how the upper echelons of fashion function.
Sadly, this is not a role you can enter into the industry and learn as you go – there's a real requirement to hit the ground running.
To be considered for this role, you will need direct experience in the fashion industry (or associated businesses) at the luxury end of the market, and this experience needs to be working for a CEO/Founder/C-Suite level.
I know it isn't ideal to have such a specific brief, but from conversations with the Global Head of HR, this is a non-negotiable stipulation directly from the Principal.
Youll have to hit the ground running, know the right people and plug the gaps in a crazy life.
Please note that this role is a hybrid role with an expectation to be in the office 3 days per week.
The role is expected to involve an element of international travel to support the Principal 'in situ'.
