Hunts Recruitment is looking for compassionate care and support staff with a full UK Drivers Licence to work within supported living services, residential homes and our clients SEN School across Hampshire.
Your role will be working with children in care who may present additional behaviours, children with additional learning needs or adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs.
Preferences and experience will be taken into consideration.
Location: Shifts available across Southampton, Totton, Lyndhurst, Fareham and Portsmouth
Hours: Flexible agency work and block bookings where required / desired.
Full and part time hours available.
Days and night shifts also available.
Shifts: Primarily 12 hour shifts (day shifts and waking night shifts available) some 7.5 hours shifts may also be required
Pay rate: £11.50 - £12.45 per hour
Full UK Drivers Licence required due to the clients daily activities.
Benefits: Weekly pay Support from a specialist consultant Variety of work in different social care and healthcare settings Free online training and subsidised practical training Holiday pay- paid weekly or accumulated in a holiday pot Auto enrolment into Hunts Recruitment pension scheme (Opt out available) The ideal applicants will have: A full UK Drivers Licence An ENHANCED online registered DBS - alternatively you must be willing to purchase one (we are happy to assist with this) A minimum of 6 months UK Care Experience Evidence of care related training completed (Training can also be provided) The right to work in the UK (Mandatory) Be able to provide a minimum of 2 employment references including your most recent employer and all care related employment People who are empathetic, caring and resilient in nature With the desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable people Your job duties as a Support Worker: You will provide therapeutic care and support to people with additional needs or behaviours, including those with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs Duties include observing, monitoring, and keeping a record of residents' conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty.
Alongside an experienced team, you will be supporting individuals to live as independently as possible.
