Role: Humanities Teacher (Permanent) Location: Secondary School, Southampton Start Date: [insert start date] Salary: Competitive, based on experience Key Responsibilities: Teaching Humanities subjects (Geography, History, and/or Religious Education) across Key Stage 3 and 4 Planning and delivering engaging and dynamic lessons that cater to students' varying abilities and interests Encouraging critical thinking and fostering a love of Humanities in students Monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and supporting academic achievement Maintaining effective classroom management in line with school policies Collaborating with the Humanities department to develop and improve the curriculum Contributing to extracurricular activities, school events, and wider school life The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Humanities Teacher with a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) Strong subject knowledge in at least one of the Humanities disciplines (Geography, History, or RE), with the ability to teach across the subjects Proven experience teaching Humanities at secondary level Passionate about inspiring students and developing their critical thinking and understanding of the world Excellent communication and organisational skills A team player, willing to collaborate with colleagues to improve educational outcomes A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Why Choose GSL Education?
