Engaging students with History from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5, and Geography at Key Stage 3, this role also offers the opportunity to teach Politics at A level, and Geography and Global Perspectives at KS4 an ideal position for an educator who seeks both professional growth and to contribute to the broader life of a vibrant independent school community.
Responsibilities of Humanities Teacher: Deliver engaging lessons in History (KS3 to KS5) and Geography (KS3).
Teach Politics A level, KS4 Geography, and KS4 Global Perspectives (advantageous but not required).
Contribute to pastoral and co-curricular activities, including serving as a Tutor.
Support students' learning beyond the classroom, building essential skills for their educational journey and future careers.
Cultivate strong, respectful relationships between school, students, and families.
Requirements of Humanities Teacher: Degree in a relevant Humanities subject and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching History at KS3-KS5; additional ability to teach Politics A level and KS4 Geography/Global Perspectives is an advantage.
Enthusiasm for developing students learning skills and engagement across the curriculum.
