The opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to join us on a fixed term contract in March 2025 for a period of 12 months to provide maternity cover.
You will be responsible for the operational management of the core Human Resources Team.
You will also be responsible for progressing key HR projects and initiatives, in line with the Firm's strategic goals.
The postholder will report to the HR Director.
Key responsibilities Management & Leadership: Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with SK's values and business goals.
Lead and develop the core HR team, ensuring operational excellence and timely project delivery.
Drive engagement strategies to enhance morale and job satisfaction.
Collaborate with senior leaders and HR team members to deliver consistent HR services.
Employee Relations & Communication: Partner with the Senior ER Adviser to address employee concerns and promote a respectful workplace.
Develop communication strategies to keep employees informed about policies and initiatives.
Oversee engagement surveys and action planning to improve the employee experience.
Advocate for wellbeing, mental health support, and work-life balance.
Policy & Compliance: Develop, communicate, and train on HR policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and SK's values.
Guide managers on employment law and regulations to ensure compliance.
Performance Management: Support the performance review process and help identify and address performance issues.
Systems & Data: Work with the Finance Team on salary reviews to ensure competitive compensation.
Oversee HR systems, payroll, benefits, and compliance with employment law.
Collaborate with the HR Data & Reporting Coordinator to leverage data for informed decision-making.
Requirements Essential Proven experience as an HR Manager or in a similar senior HR role, with a strong background in managing HR teams and driving HR initiatives.
In-depth knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Experience in managing and delivering HR projects and initiatives, with a track record of driving results.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with HR data to inform decision-making.
Experience with HR systems, payroll, benefits administration, and performance management processes.
Ability to handle sensitive employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
Desirable CIPD qualification or equivalent (desirable).
