People Consultant Location: Chelmsford Salary: £48 - £56,000 per annum Contract Type: Fixed Term (12 months), Full Time Working Style: 1-2 days in the office I am currently seeking an experienced People/Human Resources Consultant to join a public sector organisation for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on workforce strategy and organisational development and drive strategic initiatives across various functional areas.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with People Services and the People Business Partnering team to design and implement people strategies and initiatives.
Coach managers in managing change, complex employment cases, and performance issues.
Analyse HR metrics and provide insights to enhance organisational effectiveness.
Lead projects to achieve defined outcomes and support continuous improvement.
Experience required: Chartered CIPD membership or working towards it.
Previous experience as a People/Human Resources Consultant with strong HR generalist expertise, particularly in the public sector.
Proven experience in managing complex people, process and systems issues and driving change.
Demonstrated experience as a people lead in project and programme management, ensuring successful delivery of outcomes.
Experience in analysing people and business metrics, developing actionable insights, and writing effective reports and policies to inform decision-making.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build influential relationships.
