Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist with a focus on onboarding to join our innovative biotech company based in Oxford.
This role will be critical in ensuring a seamless and engaging onboarding experience for new hires, fostering a strong foundation for their success in our organization.
With a hybrid working model, this position combines remote flexibility with in-office collaboration to support our dynamic workforce and contribute to a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities Onboarding Management Coordinate and execute the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
Prepare and distribute onboarding materials, including employment contracts, welcome packs, and training schedules.
Act as the primary point of contact for new employees during their onboarding period, addressing queries and concerns.
Facilitate new hire orientations and introductions to company culture, policies, and values.
Collaboration and Communication Partner with hiring managers to create tailored onboarding plans that meet the specific needs of each role and team.
Work closely with IT, facilities, and other departments to ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and access are provided prior to start dates.
Schedule and coordinate initial training sessions and team meet-and-greets for new hires.
Compliance and Documentation Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and verified, including right-to-work checks, references, and tax information.
Maintain up-to-date employee records in compliance with GDPR and other applicable regulations.
Track onboarding progress and provide regular updates to HR leadership.
Continuous Improvement Gather feedback from new hires and managers to identify areas for improvement in the onboarding process.
Develop and implement enhancements to onboarding programs to improve employee engagement and retention.
Stay updated on industry best practices and trends to ensure a world-class onboarding experience.
Qualifications and Skills Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
CIPD certification.
Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in an HR role with a focus on onboarding or employee engagement, ideally in the biotech, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with strong attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with new employees and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and standard office software.
A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and process optimization.
