We are recruiting a UK & Ireland HSE Manager for a large FMCG business.
With responsibility for 7 UK sites, one direct report and just over 400 staff, it is your role to create and drive the Health and Safety strategy, to communicate it effectively at all levels and remain a hands on, visible leader, who will roll model good behaviour and bring a positive, energetic approach to the business.
We require someone who is commutable to Northamptonshire, where 3/7 sites are located and someone who is able to travel approx.
4 days a week, in particular to a site in the North West.
The role will be 80% H&S and 20% Environmental but as environmental and sustainability continues to become more important, this part of the role will likely increase.
What we are looking for: Someone who is still confident in an operational, hands-on capacity and is willing to roll their sleeves up.
You must however be equally able to engage, gain buy in, influence and convey the HSEQ message to the SLT.
This credibility to communicate across all levels is essential for the role.
