About the Role: Baywater Healthcare are a leading provider of Healthcare services to the NHS across the UK.
As part of our succession planning, we are recruiting for a manager to lead on Environmental Health and Safety initiatives.
This position will lead on the implementation of Environmental and Sustainability strategies for the organisation, create and deliver internal campaigns to ensure best practice in Health and Safety across our depot and field based as well as general office safety.
The role will influence and advise the Senior Leadership Team on appropriate Health and Safety strategy and relevant regulatory requirements.
The role will require travel across our operating sites, supporting and influencing the regional teams and auditing against our standards.
Hence the role is not restricted by location.
Regular attendance to our Head Office in Cheshire is a requirement.
Working closely with the Leadership Team, this role will ensure all operations are practising and prioritising the highest level of compliance in environmental sustainability and safe working.
You will be responsible for the following: · Implementing and maintaining effective safety protocols · Fostering a culture of environmental awareness and compliance · Minimising the environmental impact of the company operations.
Each day is different so you'll need to be adaptable and flexible but because of this you will truly be appreciated by your customers, patients, and team.
What You Will Be Doing: · Manage the Environmental Management System (14001) · Monitor and review the all Health and Safety policies - ensuring compliance with ISO standards.
· Drive forward thinking initiatives to embed a culture of safe working and environmental conscience.
· Manage the statutory reporting to comply with relevant regulations.
· Conduct audits and assessments to ensure adherence to the laws and regulations.
· Be a Subject Matter Expert on regulations such as WEEE and ESOS and on Internal Audits · Conduct and evaluate Operational Risk Assessments.
· Support the Quality Manager in promoting effective Root Cause Analysis and Lessons Learned.
· Celebrate and recognise best in class performance.

Experience in EH&S leadership roles, preferably within in healthcare or an operational industry In-depth knowledge of HSE legislative frameworks across the UK Expertise ISO 14001 standards Excellent communication and influencing skills Qualifications: A relevant environmental and health and safety qualification, or working to it - NEBOSH Applicants must have full working rights for the UK for this position as visa sponsorship is not available.
