About the RoleThe HSE Advisor aids in the development of the company's HSE management system, safe systems of work and associated documentation.
The HSE Advisor monitors the application of safe systems within the company and undertakes inspections and audits etc; all aimed at ensuring full compliance with the company management systems and applicable legislation.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide support and guidance to comply with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations, ISO standards 45001, 14001, and company policiesProvide safety support and advice to all personnelConduct site HSE audits and inspections onsite to identify potential hazards and areas for improvementInvestigate incidents / accidents, conduct root cause analysis, ensure corrective actions are captured and tracked to closure and support implementation of Lessons LearnedSafe system of work development – Risk assessment, BASIX, and associated proceduresConduct, review and implement COSHH, Noise and HAVS Risk AssessmentsMonitor and analyse Safety Observations, encouraging participation through actively resolving issues and providing feedbackSupport collation of environmental data to support the organisations goals and objectives.
In line with environmental aspects and impactsPromote workforce engagement in all HSE activities, initiatives, and campaignsCollate, review, and produce statutory records as requiredLiaise with clients, auditors, and regulators where applicableProvide internal HSE training to groups and individualsUpdating electronic systems, Q-Pulse, and IMSSupport collation of HSE Statistics to input to various meetingsSupport DSE Assessment completionAttend various HSE related meetings and provide inputQualificationsNEBOSH General Certificate or EquivalentInternal auditor qualificationFormal Accident / Incident Investigation TrainingIOSH membership is welcome but not essentialExperienceStrong knowledge of relevant HSE regulations, standards, and best practicesPrevious HSE experience in a related industry is desirableIdeally experienced in hands-on operations/site based HSE role but not essentialProficient in the use of Microsoft packagesBehaviours and SkillsExcellent communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both internally and with external parties including clients, auditors, and regulatorsPossess good planning, organisational and problem-solving skillsExperience in a fast-paced work environmentCompetent in risk assessment and risk managementproficient in the use of management systemsExperience as an internal auditorSelf – motivated and able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentAbout UsWith facilities in over thirty locations spanning five continents, Score employs more than 2000 people, including 230 apprentices.
