The HR Manager role will oversee people operations at our busy distribution centre. The role is very broad and will include responsibility for permanent and agency employees, overseeing HR operational activity from ER case management to executing cyclical HR processes. The scope of the role will include leading employee engagement, talent and performance management, learning and development as well as managing employee relations.
The right candidate will have a strong understanding of UK employment law, strong communication skills and experience in comparable sectors.
The role will be integral in delivering several projects over the course of the next year and therefore experience in delivery of HR projects is preferred.
This standalone role reports to the Head of HR Ashford, a manufacturing site part of the Coty supply chain and is responsible for the on-site HR intern. The role will partner with our manufacturing site on all HR topics and initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Talent Management Support leaders with temporary recruitment, attraction and workforce planning. Facilitate talent reviews and calibration sessions to ensure a strong understanding of our site skills set. Co-create initiatives to understand and increase capabilities in line with site objectives. Guide effective goal setting to ensure the growth of our people and success of our business. Track and assess the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives. Help in the design and delivery of wellness events. Proactively collaborate with other functions to ensure our site is enabling each individual employee to thrive. ER Case Management Manage employee relations matters including, but not limited to: Formal and informal meetings/resolutions. Ensure well documented and fair outcomes achieved in all cases. Update and reviewing templates in keeping with best practice and changes in legislation. Be the first port of call for HR policy related advice. Drive the employee engagement agenda including but not limited to supporting the Employee forum, building a strong communication agenda, and facilitating employee townhall events. Driving strategies to remain our status as an employer of choice Design and deliver relevant learning and development initiatives. Develop a calendar of learning and growth initiatives and communicate these to the business ensuring communication remains consistent and the business. DEI Own the DEI calendar, working with the community team to deliver relevant initiatives. Projects Lead ad-hoc HR projects at a local level in areas such as workforce planning, skills development, early years careers, and talent pipelining. Technical Partnering with our shared service centre and site leaders to encourage self service delivery whilst managing escalations. Analysing data using Power BI and AI tools to drive continuous improvement in HR processes. Working for Coty means putting kindness at the centre of all we do. The team consists of 4 HR professionals, and you will work closely together to support a busy Supply Chain site.
