Job title: Business Coordinator (HR and Administration) Locations: Belfast City Centre Salary: £21.98 per hour Duration: Temporary Hours: 37 hours per week Job Duties Include * Support the Human Resource Manager(s) in ensuring that human resources and employee relations is-sues for the department are effectively managed and reported on in accordance with councils' poli-cies and procedures and to ensure that the relevant legislative requirements are met.
* Act as investigating officer and carry out investigations, including grievance, and disciplinary, in ac-cordance with the councils' human resources policies and procedures * Be responsible for the effective management of human resource records including recruitment, disci-pline, sickness absence, overtime, leave etc, and to develop reports for the Operational Directors and Senior Departmental Management Team as required.
* Be responsible for the ongoing monitoring, measurement and compliance auditing of departmental human resource performance data, for example, overtime working, agency working, attendance man-agement etc.
and for direct participation in absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases as required.
* Assist the Human Resources Manager(s) in the effective management of sickness absence including the monitoring and compliance of departmental absence figures and the implementation of absence management policies and procedures.
* Be responsible for the effective monitoring of all employee relations cases ensuring compliance with procedure and to maintain relevant Case Management Systems.
* Oversee the monitoring of temporary and fixed term contracts and ensure compliance with corporate policy and legislation.
* Oversee the effective management of the department's redeployment process.
* Oversee the management of the department's vacancy control procedure in line with council procedures Essential Criteria Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of application forms: 1. either, have a relevant third level qualification in human resources, business studies or equivalent qualification; and be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, at least one year's relevant experience in each of the following three areas; or 2. be able to demonstrate on the application form, by providing personal and specific examples, at least two years' relevant experience in each of the following areas: a. providing advice and guidance to senior managers on a range of human resources issues such as employee resourcing (including recruitment, managing agency, fixed term contract and redeployment issues); learning and development; payroll; absence management; employee relations (including disciplinary, grievance and capability procedures); worklife balance and FOI / data subject access requests; b. direct participation in complex absence management cases, disciplinary and grievance procedures and processes and in managing employee resourcing (including recruitment and selection, managing agency, fixed term contract and redeployment issues); and c. working effectively with trade unions on a range of sensitive and complex human resources matters.
