As an HR Advisor, you will take responsibility as the first port of call advising Studio Leads on processes and managing our onboarding process. You will be keen to develop your skills and be involved in managing employee relations and performance management. For this role, you will need to be based a commutable distance from Leamington and work in the studio, full-time Monday to Friday; we will also consider part-time applications. Third Kind Games - a Virtuos Studio, is a world-class co-development games studio founded in 2016 by a team of nine former Activision veterans and became a Virtuos Studio in 2024.
Our studio is based in Royal Leamington Spa and we also have remote studios in Poland and Spain. We work with some of the biggest names in the games industry such as Blizzard, Amazon, Microsoft, and Mythical Games, and we're proud of our track record working on critically acclaimed games and franchises.
Role Overview Dealing with various HR queries throughout the business. Coordinating the onboarding process for our new starters. Using HR information systems to access, input, and compile data. Managing team relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations. Supporting the Leads with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary. Acting as the point of contact for hiring managers, employees, and other HR team members. Preparing accurate monthly payroll data, ensuring reconciliation with holidays, sickness, pay changes, and updating payroll with new starter information. What we are looking for from a Third Kinder You would: Have the ability to advise and work with team members and Leads. Have hands-on experience with IT programmes and HR systems. Be practical and logical; able to solve problems quickly. Able to manage own workload whilst understanding when to ask for direction and support. Be responsible for organising new starter welcome calls. Have some project management skills and support other additional internal projects. Support internal communication functions and updates for brand and tone of voice within TKG. Be personable with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Be computer literate with programmes such as Word, Excel, and other IT Systems. Have good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks. Be motivated and want to take on additional responsibilities as you gain experience. Skills it would be great to have Experience with: Working as an HR Advisor or experience in a similar role.
